My Guest Has Freebies (lots of Freebie Pics) Day 1

Today my guest is Emily from Sweetly Scrapped Art

My name is Emily and I am a SAHM, and I guess you can consider me a WAHM since I spend so much time with this new venture :)

I have been doing crafts all my life. It all started with construction paper. I had to be the only kid walking outside with a complete outfit made out of it! Yes, I do have pictures to prove, lol. I have two kids who are also creative and love to draw and paint. As far as scrapbooking goes itself, I started about 11 years ago and it has since grown from there. Because I've always been creative, my love for altering things, making handmade gifts, sewing, crocheting and all those wonderful things are popping up with my paper crafting. I love doing new things and trying new techniques.

If you have any questions contact me :) I am definitely convo friendly!
Here is her Pinterest page, Emily has an Etsy Store

Let Me Light The Way

One of my favorite things to do is use die cuts! Recently I have been scoping challenges for ways to share my projects but also to get me to try new things. Cheery Lynn Designs has a great challenge this week to use a frame

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 16 - Frame It

I started with the Cathedral Lace Frame and decided it looked perfect for a lantern. There is just enough of a frame to connect all the pieces.
This is on a white background so you can see I used some beautiful Noelle White Crochet Lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon to accent and decorate.
I own about 8-10 of Cheery Lynn dies and notice I always choose such intricate patterns-aren't they beautiful?
This Victorian Romance Flourish is so beautiful and worked perfect on the ends and backed up to each other.
I decided to accent with a few center pearls from S A Crafters.
I used the Butterfly Bundle to make double butterflies-one in card stock, and one in Vellum.

I have a few other challenges I want to enter:
Gingersnap Creations-Use two colors
Paper Pretties-use a die or punch
Flutter by Wednesdays- butterfly and photo inspiration

Anything Challenge-altered anything but a card
Outlawz- use WHITE and add a flourish
Crafty Bloggers Network- Shabby Chic
Make My Monday- Victorian Romance
Crazy Challenge- Use a die or punch
Victorine Challenge- Use lace

So do you think I used the dies in a creative way?
Thanks for popping in and checking out my lantern-Have a great day!
